The Floating Lounge explores the subtle boundary between furniture typologies, transforming the familiar language of a wooden table into a sculptural seating experience. The concept originates from a simple yet intriguing shift: what happens when a table is no longer defined by its function, but reinterpreted as a place for rest?

By preserving the lateral leg structure typically associated with a table, the design lifts the seating volume visually off the ground. This displacement of support creates a sense of suspension—an almost weightless presence—giving the impression that the bench is gently floating in space. The absence of conventional under-seat supports reinforces this effect, allowing the form to appear lighter and more architectural.
