The EL-Lamp is a contemporary reinterpretation of the iconic lampshade, a timeless object originally conceived to conceal the bulb and prevent glare. In this innovative design, the traditional concept of a lampshade is transformed through the use of electroluminescence technology, which replaces the conventional bulb with a luminous wire. This wire itself defines the lampshade’s contour, creating an ethereal and sculptural light form that emits a soft, ambient glow.  

Devoid of a central light source, the EL-Lamp challenges established notions of lighting design by turning the shade—once a secondary element—into the primary emitter of light.
